Breaking the Silence: Survivors Share How London’s Vulva Pain Experts Saved Their Lives
Leading the way in Europe, the London Vulva Clinic (also referred to as the Vulval Pain Clinic), has a world class multidisciplinary team that is renowned for acknowledging countless vulvodynia and vulva pain patients struggle to be heard and treated. For far too long, these conditions have not been given the recognition they need, and if that wasn’t enough, the majority of GPs have not received the essential additional training and in-house clinical expertise that Pain Doctors have attained. – This scenario has thus rendered visiting your general practitioner and being given an accurate diagnosis and the best possible treatment options, quite rare. (And added to this, is the fact that the NHS cannot provide many of the latest leading-edge treatments).
So let’s take a look at some of the testimonials and reviews that we have received from our patients – some of whom first linked up to one of our Pain Specialists via our online consultation service, and some of whom had their first appointment at our London Harley Street Clinic. What stands out the most from these reviews, is the praise for our Pain Doctors’ and their team’s sensitive, uplifting, and effective approach to treating and explaining vulva conditions.
Moreover, reviewers shine a spotlight on the Vulva Pain Clinic’s second-to-none multidisciplinary team (which comprises highly experienced specialists in the fields of gynaecology, pelvic floor physiotherapy, and dermatology). Moreover, many of the testimonials highlight our Vulva Doctors’ ability to be able to provide a clear and accurate diagnosis along with a multifaceted Holistic Personalised Treatment Plan, with many patients reporting substantial improvements and being empowered to get their life back on track.

“I had knife-like vaginal pains that made intercourse really painful, as well as a constant sensation of dryness. I’ve seen a vagina pain specialist, a woman’s physiotherapist (not with much result), and then Dr Jenner. I feel much less pain now, and things are almost back to normal.”

“I came to see Dr Christopher Jenner in April 2017, suffering from vulvodynia. I had seen several doctors before making an appointment at the London Pain Clinic having been misdiagnosed. I had really given up hope of finding any relief. I had been in so much pain and it was affecting my work and relationships. I was apprehensive at my first visit due to the sensitive nature of the condition, but Dr Jenner immediately put me at ease and was the first doctor who gave me confidence that I would get better. He explained the likely cause of the pain, how the nerves work and I was referred to the excellent physio team who have been fantastic… It took a few month to get the pain medication right.”
However, nearly a year later I am on the road to recovery and feel confident the condition will continue to improve. I still have occasional bad days but they are much less now, the pain is not so intense and I know what the triggers are. I would urge anyone who suffers from this horrible condition to see Dr Jenner. He’ll listen to you and won’t think you are crazy like other doctors and he has a great sense of humour!
